Jojo Smith

Dunedin born & raised JoJo Smith is an inspirational performer who takes her audiences on a lyrical, musically diverse journey of blues, soul, funk, R&B, Latin, and jazz. 

JoJo moved to Australia in 1975 and became a renowned performer on the Australian club scene as well as a sought after session vocalist for Radio, TV Commercials and a Backing Vocalist for touring and recording artists. 
After her move to Brisbane in 1975, JoJo was crowned 'Queensland Female Entertainer of the year' in that same year. 

JoJo is a passionate, sophisticated vocalist with a magnetic stage presence. 
Her capacity to intimately engage with her audience is legendary. From the 
moment she arrives on stage, Jo Jo captivates her audience with her natural warmth and relaxed style.

In addition to regular performances, Jo Jo has recorded several albums.
– Two with the 'Hip Pocket’ band– Crack That Smile, and Get Loved. 
– Three solo albums Miss Del Ray, Million Dollar View, and JoJo Smith [email protected] Blue Birdy.

 JoJo has recorded, toured and worked alongside Australian music greats including Renee Geyer, 
Kate Ceberano, Vince Jones, Colin Hay, Glen Shorrock, John English, Marcia Hines & Olivia Newton John
