Argus is a rock gig not to be missed! The band is based in NZ and Australia and comes together for exciting one-off concerts and events. Argus first started life in 1974 in Dunedin, NZ playing covers by Wishbone Ash, Steely Dan, The Doobie Bros etc. The band quickly became popular, but in late 1975 Peter, Marcel and Denis joined in the formation of NZ band Mother Goose and moved to Australia and The States. Brian and Chris went on to form popular NZ band Cruze.
In 2006 the idea to come together again in Dunedin and play a show was just that - a fun idea but the venue was packed and the audiences loved it. Since then Argus has returned several times to packed and enthusiastic crowds. With all band members still active in the music industry and with many years of professional playing and touring experience all over the world behind them, an Argus rock gig is not to be missed.
It's a show where the band and audience share a love of great classic rock songs with quality musicians in a quality show. Needless to say the band loves Argus gigs. Don't miss it! An Argus rock gig is a high energy, rock' n roll affair where the band and the audience share a love of great classic rock songs played by quality musicians in a quality show.
